Utah-Utah's cooperative heart transplant program involving LDS, University and Veterans Administration hospitals has achieved an initial survival rate of greater than 95 percent in 23 heart transplants it has performed over the past 10 months, according to program officials. The one-year survival rate in most successful cardiac transplant programs is about 8 0 percent. |
