Description Correspondence of Marriner S. Eccles with J. William Fulbright, U.S. Senator from Arkansas in the early 1960s. As Fulbright was Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking and Currency, and also sat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, these letters sometimes discuss related topics, but they also touch on the politics of the day as well as personal topics between friends. Includes a speech by Fulbright "on liberalism and coexistence" in response to Senator Barry Goldwater's approach to foreign relations with Communist countries such as China, printed in the Congressional Record of August 2, 1963.
