Scans of letters sent to Marriner S. Eccles, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, following his speech before the American Farm Bureau Federation in Chicago on December 14, 1937, and replies from Eccles or his office. Many of the letters, dating from December of 1937 through April of 1938, were in response to the substance of the speech, and in his replies Eccles would sometimes respond to the comments and elaborate on the subject. Of particular interest is a series of exchanges with Mr. William T. Hardin of Saint Louis, Missouri. |
