Subject Electronic Sweep Technique; Visual Evoked Potential; Visual Function Assessment; Alzheimer's Disease; Elderly Dementia
Description The electronic sweep technique for the pattern visual evoked potential (VEP) allows rapid assessment of visual function to a full range of spatial frequencies in seconds compared to standard techniques of flashed or pattern reversal visual evoked potential which are relatively slow. The sweep technique may be particularly applicable to patients who are unable to fixate for prolonged periods.
