Description A 47-year-old woman awoke the day prior to presentation with persistent painless blurred vision in the right eye. The patient reported a severe right periorbital headache. Initial funduscopic examination of the right eye showed florid disc edema. An exudate was noted inferior-temporally over the papillomacular bundle. There was a localized infiltrate in the central macula. The macular infiltrate increased and organized into a temporal hemi-star. This hemi-star progressed to a complete macular star. In addition, there were diffuse, peripapillary exudates noted.
