Description |
Approximately 30% of patients suffering from idiopathic seventh nerve palsy will not fully recover. Impairment of cranial nerve seven paralyzes the orbicularis oculi and frontalis muscles, resulting in eyebrow malposition. Costly and invasive surgical procedures to correct residual facial asymmetry are often required. The authors present three cases describing a minimally invasive technique to restore field of vision in patients with chronic idiopathic seventh nerve palsy. |
