Description It has been reported that patients with acute optic neuritis (ON) have good visual recovery, with return of highcontrast visual acuity (VA) to 20/40 or better in 95% of affected eyes. Vision-specific quality of life (QOL), however, is reduced among overall cohorts of patients with history of ON, even years following the acute event. We examined vision-specific QOL scores in a cohort of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients among the specific sub-group of subjects with history of ON and high-contrast VA of 20/40 or better in both eyes.
