Description |
Sandy city is one of the more interesting places in the Salt Lake Valley. It is located on the south end of the valley between the I-215 belt route and 12300 south from north to south and between I-15 and the Wasatch mountain range from east to west. Some of the more unique attributes of the city and its relation to the greater Salt Lake Valley have led me to the focus on the current end of the TRAX light rail line near 10000 south and 200 east as the site for the master's project. Similarly, the current use of land and businesses that exist in Sandy allow for the opportunity to bring something new to the city either through introducing new programmatic functions or by combining functions that currently exist in new and exciting ways. I believe that the city of Sandy would be most benefitted in a project involving transportation, live-work units for small business creative professionals, and civic entertainment. |
