Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that affects the cervix and often spreads to the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, causing pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and infertility. Having Chlamydia also increases the risk of HIV infection 3-5 fold. |
