One day when the earth was completely flat, Shin-au-av decides to shoot his arrow across the land. As the arrow struck the surface of the planet, it formed the crevices and canyons between the mountains. Before this time, all were brothers and sisters sharing the land equally. The author also discusses different variations on this origin story. |
