Description |
It was reported in the Vernal Express February 2, 1942 there was favorable action by the water facilities board of the Whiterocks Irrigation Company. A tentative approval was made for the completion on this project. The cost was a $50,000 loan, $25,000 was allocated for refinancing of existing obligations of the Irrigation Company. This lake would impound a maximum of 2100 acre feet to be used for summer irrigation. Work on this dam began in August of 1943. This lake is located in the Ashley National Forest about 10 miles northwest (as the crow flies) of Paradise Lake. The cabin was built by the Forest Service. It was in the late 1960's that the Tridell BSA took Jerry Goodrich's red tractor to complete a service project at the lake. |
