Description |
Hired man herding cattle into the corrals at Haslem Ranch. At the age of 31, Samuel Haslem came to the Uinta Basin. He lived on a rented farm for two years in the Naples area. He then purchased the Burton farm in Jensen. He married Margaret Elizabeth Huffman of Coalville, Utah, in 1887. They had nine children, William (1889-), Elizabeth (1890-1976), Melvin (1893-), Joe (1895-1987), Elsie (1898-), John (1901-1993), Clyde (1903-1975), Blanche (1906-1997), Venice (1908-). Joe Haslem continued to keep the Haslem Ranch alive and well in Jensen, Utah until 1987 when he passed away. |
