This photograph is a copy of the original and is in very good condition. Hofmann served as the President of Westminster College from 1976 to 1979, during which he also served as a member of the Technical Assistance Task Force, a field reader for research proposals, and a consultant for the United States Office of Education; during this time he also served as the director of the Board of Ogden City Chamber of Commerce, and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Utah State Industrial School. Hofmann was born on April 27, 1926 in Heidelberg, Germany. He received his B.A. from the Teacher Training College, attended the University of Maryland, and received his Ph.D. (cum laude) from the University of Heidelberg. Before his time spent as the President of Westminster College, Hofmann worked in various teaching, professorship, and management roles both in the United States and Germany; he was also the Academic Vice President and the Dean of Faculty for Westminster College during the three years leading up to his presidency. Mr. Hoffman was religiously affiliated with the Lutheran Church. |
