Description |
First settlers in most of the country's wooded areas built their houses of logs. The chinks between logs were usually filled in with clay. The double cabin above was a "late model," built by a Utah pioneer Ebenezer Bryce, in what is now Bryce Canyon National Park. USDA photo. |
