Description |
The dLGN has a dual blood supply. The anterior hilus, together with the anterior and lateral aspects of the nucleus, is usually supplied by branches of the anterior choroidal artery, which arises from the ICA. The remainder of the dLGN receives blood from the lateral choroidal artery, which arises from the posterior cerebral artery. Both arteries probably supply the area of the macular representation. |
