Subject Simultanagnosia; Degenerative Dementia; Alzheimer's Disease; Optic Ataxia; Impaired Smooth Pursuit Movements
Description We studied 1 0 patients with degenerative brain disease presenting with simultanagnosia. Our aim was to elucidate their clinical, neuropsychological and radiological findings to see if these patients were likely to be a different biological group from typical Alzheimer's disease (AD) and to help clinicians recognize this entity. All patients presented to ophthalmologists with simultanagnosia and were undiagnosed until they developed additional non ophthalmologic complaints.
