Description |
Multiple cases of optic pathway gliomas are demonstrated using MRI imaging. The optic pathway gliomas are identified at multiple points in the optic pathways. Figure 1 : Patient 1: Axial orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing thickening and enhancement of the right optic nerve and chiasm Figure 2 : Patient 1: Coronal orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing enlargement and enhancement of the right optic nerve Figure 3 : Patient 2: Axial orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing enlargement of the left optic nerve without enhancement Figure 4 : Patient 2: Axial orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing enlargement of the optic chiasm without enhancement Figure 5 : Patient 2: Coronal orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing enlargement of the optic chiasm without enhancement Figure 6 : Patient 3: Axial orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing enlargement of the right optic nerve with enhancement Figure 7 : Patient 3: Coronal orbital MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing enlargement of the right optic nerve with enhancement Figure 8 : Patient 4: Coronal orbital/sella MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing a solid and cystic mass centered in the left hypothalamus and left optic chiasm Figure 9 : Patient 5: Coronal orbital/sella MRI (T1 postcontrast with fat suppression) showing a partially enhancing mass arising from the optic chiasm, with ventriculomegaly. Figure 10 : Patient 5: Coronal orbital/sella MRI (T2 weighted) showing a T2 hyperintense mass arising from the optic chiasm |
