Council House, Salt Lake City. Built in 1849 under the direction of Daniel H. Wells, Superintendent of Public Construction, at the corner of Mani and South Temple Streets, where the Union Pacific Building now stands [at the time the sketch was made]. It was destroyed by fire in 1883. |
