Hardy Redd was on the founding board of the Utah Endowment for the Humanities (1974-1979), fifty years ago. He talks about the people he served with on the board and his view on the humanities and humanities funding - both his views from the time of his board service and his present views. He discusses how important the humanities are. He shares some of his family history, which includes his and his parent's philanthropy in Utah: Charles Redd Center at BYU, Dialogue: Journal of Mormon Thought, the Redd Chair in Religious Studies at USU, among others. |
