Description |
This scene is at the entrance to the Arches National Monument in southeastern Utah. Here wind and rain over a period of a million years have created odd and unique formations that amaze tourists and visitors. Note the people on the horizon in the center of the picture. The huge balanced rock on the left has a height of 250 feet and weighs hundreds of tons. These huge formations are in solid red sandstone. |
