Description |
This art installation is inspired by the common ritual of knocking on wood to dispel bad luck. The three spinning boxes within the wall represent the luck of the New Year and are spun for: health, wealth, and love. We invite everyone to spin and knock on wood to ward off any bad luck for the coming year. This interactive piece is constructed of approximately 63,000 unread newspapers, salvaged lumber, and recycled steel rods, forming a wall that is 7 feet high, 16 feet long and 3 feet wide. A special thanks to donors: Marman-Keystone, Daily Utah Chronicle, Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News. |
