Scan of Marriner S. Eccles personal correspondence from December of 1941 through June of 1942. Most of the letters were between Marriner S. Eccles and Marriner S. Browning of the Browning Arms Company in Ogden, which sought to become a supplier for the American military during World War II. Also includes a 5-page letter dated 4 March 1942 from farmer Charlie Miller to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Claude R. Wickard concerning the need to keep farmers from being drafted as soldiers and the role agriculture can play in the war effort. |
