Scan of Marriner S. Eccles personal correspondence from July through September of 1951. The letters mainly touched on various private matters. One series is related to an award bestowed on Mr. Eccles by the government of Paraguay, which was held by the State Department until his retirement from public service. Mr. Eccles's resignation as a Governor of the Federal Reserve became effective on 14 July 1951. Also includes a typed letter addressed to "members" from an unidentified Stake Presidency of the LDS Church listing recommended food goods to keep in store for an emergency. |
