Description |
Copy of photograph originally taken in 1893 by Jake Trayner. Caption reads, "Copy of a Kodak picture taken 1893 by Jake Trayner while Hugh Dougall was on a mission to West Virginia. I was asked by the father William Dougall and his wife Maria to come and make my home with them while Hugh was away on his mission. This was certainly a providential offer as I had been laid off my job, which I held with Auerbach & Brothers, due to the Cleveland Panic. This enabled me to continue my work at the University of Utah where I was taking a course in Preparity Medicine. My treatment by this wonderful. family was a fine as tho I be one of them./H. L. Nelson." |
