Description |
This early postcard shows the prgress of the construciton of the Bank of Vernal. This bank became known as the Parcel Post Bank. William Horace Coltharp ordered the brick for the new bank from the Ogden area and had them sent though parcel post in 50 pound bundles. All the exterior of the bank was built from the bricks that came by parcel. The inner bricks were manufactured locally by Swain Brothers. The bank was completed by February 1917. Mease Drugs is on the left. |
