Description After reviewing the 2023 Better U Survey, ONDT leaders identified two areas for improvement: Energized/No Burnout and Wellbeing-Thriving. Next, the ONDT Wellness Champions launched the Connect to Wellness initiative aimed to build and reinforce a culture of inclusion and wellness that aligns with our department's mission and purpose. Our first Connect to Wellness activity was "The Great Office Bake Off" proposed by team members who found relaxation in watching "The Great British Baking Show." Participants were encouraged to share three personal wellbeing-promoting activities during the event and their responses were visualized in a word cloud. Our initial findings from "The Great Office Bake Off" suggest that team members are interested in participating in department wellness initiatives. We built the rest of the 2024 Connect to Wellness schedule based on feedback from the word cloud, focusing on popular themes. We will continue this initiative through the end of 2024. At that time, we will survey team members to assess the effectiveness of our interventions on a department level. We expect to report increased engagement, better relationships among teams, and lower burnout. We expect that analysis of the initiative survey alongside the 2024 Better U survey results will validate our conclusion.
