Description |
Iron Springs, considered the birth place of Utah's steel industry. Scattered remains of blast furnaces are all that remain of the early Mormon town. U. S. Steel Columbia Iron Mining Company later located near Iron Springs, producing millions of tons of high grade iron ore for Geneva Works, Columbia-Geneva Steel Division, and U. S. Steel Corporation. |
