North Livermore: Last Chance for Smart Growth

This report presents two alternative scenarios to the proposed North Livermore Project that would better meet the principles of smart growth. The Compact Development Scenario redesigns the project to include the same number of housing units on less than half the land. The Infill Development and Regional Planning Scenario would place up to 5,000 new housing units on vacant or little-used sites in or near downtown Livermore. A final section of the report recommends improvements to the current North Livermore project, should it be adopted in its current form.
