Leading the way for Utah were Brooke LoBue, Nellie Hammons, Katie Decker, and Vanessa Mortensen. Hammons had a spectacular meet finishing first in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.34. Her time was not only a new personal record, but also a school record and a regional qualifying mark. Decker finished second in the high jump with a height of 1.70 meters and LoBue finished third in the pole vault with a height of 3.81 meters. Mortensen had another great performance in the hammer throw setting a mark of 57.36 meters, which was good enough for second place. |
