Description |
Recycle Rice-Eccles was founded in 2010 to meet the need for recycling at the Rice-Eccles Football Stadium. What started out as a few students with garbage bags is now a 300 strong volunteer effort recycling over 12 tons per season. Through effective marketing, strong leadership, and a dedicated volunteer base this program has become a permanent fixture on campus. As one of the co-founders of the program I have stuck with it throughout the years and am now ready to pass on the reigns. In order to effectively transfer the project and ensure that it sustains a transition binder was written to give any incoming student an opportunity to lead. The transition binder will be a living document intended to be edited and revised each year and will help the program grow and succeed. While I am sad to be leaving the program behind, I am excited for the future and how forthcoming leaders will make it bigger and better. |
