Murphy Canyon Choir

Althea Thauberger's Murphy Canyon Choir/Coro de Murphy Canyon was the result of months of collaboration with the inhabitants of the military housing project at Murphy Canyon, and with choir director Teresa Russell and Composer-in-Residence Scott Wallingford. Over the course of several months, the military spouses and their children composed songs about their experiences during a time of war. On Sunday, October 24, the members of the Murphy Canyon Choir performed these compositions for a public audience. (Jennie Klein)
