It was designed by Kenzo Tange and completed in 1977.--Sogetsu and Akane Teshigahara website. http://www.sogetsu.or.jp/e/know/hall/ Note: Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement which emphasizes shape, line and form as well as a minimalist style.
