Show This black and white photograph is of Hannah Claire Haines sitting in an office. She is sitting on a wooden chair with wheels at a wooden desk and is facing left. She is wearing a suit with two rows of buttons down her front, glasses, and has her short hair in curls. There is a folder opened before her on the desk. The folder is filled with papers and some of the papers are clipped together. Miss Haines' hands are positioned on either side of the folder. On the desk, there is also a black phone, a picture frame, a stack of papers, a stamp pad, a pile of books, and at her left a tall lamp. The lamp has a light colored shade with lines crossing diagonally from its top left corner to the bottom right. On this lampshade, two strips are lighter than the others and contain a pattern of three wheat impression down the center. There is a big white wall cutting across diagonally in the right corner of the room and directly behind Miss Haines. A door is at the right of this wall, and an opening the size of a window is at its left. The opening leads to a room at a lower floor and chains can be seen coming down for ceiling lights. A large rectangular window is against the wall of this other room and acts as a heading over another window that has shades that are open. Beyond the windows is a row of parked cars. To the front of Miss Haines are three large mirrors and above them two hanging picture frames with what appears to be certificates. Beside the desk and in the bottom left of the image is a black tarp covering an object that is taller than the desk but no taller than the lamp. This object is likely to be a typewriter on a small desk. On the ceiling there is a round white light. The mirrors reveal a low railing at the edge of the office, stopping short of a huge room from a lower floor. A low railing from another room at the same level of Miss Haines' room can be seen in the left of the most left mirror. In this other room is a ceiling light and a tall pole in the far left corner that reaches the ceiling. Across from Miss Haines' room and at her level is a large window with the company's name in the lower half. This name is broken across the mirrors and can be read on reverse from the mirrors as, "U_ION T_ _MPANY." Outside the window is a row of parked cars.<br><br> |
