Invitations came from the National Association of Certified Public Accountants (Houston, Oct. 7); Wichita Dinner Club (Oct. 8) Kansas City Rotary Club; the Kentucky Bankers Association; the Evansville College (Indiana) Citizenship Forum; the University of Southern California School of Commerce; the American Institute of Accountants, and others. Many letters are to and from the Clark H. Getts firm that helped to book appearances, and Mr. Eccles had to negotiate his schedule around his campaign for the U.S. Senate until after he lost the Republican primary.
