Eccles dated 24 January 1948). Most of the letters are Eccles's initial response to that letter and to the request that he accept the Vice-Chairmanship of the Board. Includes several drafts of a letter finally sent on 27 May 1948 declining to become Vice-Chairman. Also includes texts of press releases concerning the change in leadership. |
