D&RGW Combination Car 1231 at Burnham, Colorado. This car, earlier used on the overnight Salt Lake City to Denver Prospector train, is shown as repainted for use on the Rio Grande Zephyr, a daylight on the Salt Lake City-Denver run.Dormitory space was removed and silver paint more nearly matched stainless steel exterior of other cars of the Zephyr. Taken in 1988. |
