Description |
Leo Thorne took this photo in the Dinosaur National Monument area. This is a view of the east end of the dinosaur quarry. The amount of slumping of the sides shows that the photo was taken several years after the Carnegie Museum stopped working the west end in 1922, and shortly before the FERA work began. The ladder is seen ion many of the photographs taken by Earl Douglass and leads to a shallow recess where tools and a drinking water barrel were stored. It is also the same place seen in photographs where the FERA men stored their dynamite. |
