Description |
A typical Barbershop in 1869. Tools of the trade of the typical railroad town barbershop were an empty barrel, a block of wood as a foot rest, an iron bucket, razor and scissors and two bottles; one for hair tonic and the other was probably courtesy drinks for the customer. The items on the wall, coon skin, guns, iron skillet, etc., were probably bartering items and dog probably belonged to the man whose coat it is lying on. Gift of M. J. Burson. |
