Description |
An example of the coarse-bosied ware of Old Shigaraki with the typical rough, granulated surface caused by grayish-white grains of feldspar. Half the vessel is clad in a greenish-tinged natural glaze, while the exposed other half is touched with rose-red patches where the heat of the kiln had touched the surface. |
