Description |
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Journal History containing references to Utah Indians. Kearnes describes a raid conducted by Black Hawk on Mormon settlements in Sevier County, Utah. Kearnes claims Black Hawk and about 30 Indians released livestock, attacked wagons, destroyed property, and stole paper money. Kearnes suggests the Indians are responsible for the deaths of several individuals. He reports one Indian and a horse were killed in retaliation |
