Comment |
James W. Shipler founded Shipler Commercial Photographers when he moved to Salt Lake City in 1890. His son, Harry, eventually took over the company. Grandson Bill, and great-grandson Bill were also in the family photo business. The Utah State Historical Society now has over 100,000 Shipler photo negatives which invaluably document the history of Salt Lake City. |
