Dave McGary's polychrome bronze sculpture, "Iron that Walks," with Harold Carey Jr. standing next to statue in Park City, Utah during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Considered a friend of the region's white settlers, Iron That Walks was killed in 1862 near the Yellow Medicine River while trying to broker a truce between the U.S. Army and a band of Sioux led by Little Crow. |
