Title The feasibility of world government
Date 1980-05
Year graduated 1980
Description This work is divided into four sections. The first section analyses the pressures which are causing deterioration in the current system. These are population growth, environmental decay, military developments, with the threat of war, and the denial of human rights. The second section deals with national sovereignty as an obstacle to the achievement of a world government. A method to transcend this constraint will also be analysed. The third section deals with forces which are currently fostering integration in the international community, and aiding the promotion and codification of international law. The final section will discuss the great advantages which a world government would produce due to economic, legal and technological cooperation combined with appreciation for other cultures and peoples.
