Mother (Kate) Adams is pictured with three boy scouts. It is not known the occasion or place. Mother Adams was a favorite to many in the Ashley Valley. On Saturdays she gathered children and treated them to a matinee, picnic or party. Shelped boys and girls gain an education. She supported servicemen, and often sent letters and gifts to those serving from the Vernal area. She presented a building for the American Legion for their meetings. She always wore a sailor hat that was given to her. She died Septmeber 30, 1959. |
