| Description |
The little Bonanza Gilsonite vein of the American Gilsonite Company at Bonanza, Utah. Note the width of the vein, the straight walls and the pure gilsonite filling. Some believe Gilsonite to be a form of dried up Petroleum, others believe it to have been formed by the injection of plastic "kerogen" squeezed out of the oil shale. Kerogen is the name given to partially decomposed "mother of oil" organic matter derived from blue green algae plant soree. |
