Description |
Lee Fletcher was born in 1867 in Martin county, Indiana in 1867. His family moved westward to Colorado in 1883 and is mother died on this trip. His father with five sons continued and wintered in Meeker, Colorado. Various kinds of work was found like killing deer and after dressing them out took them to Denver. He went into the cattle business with his brother, Grant. He married Sarah Melissa Oaks in 1895. After several tragedies, he moved to Vernal and settled opening several businesses. He also served as a county commissioner for Uintah County. He died in 1936 and is buried in the Maeser Cemetery in Vernal, Utah. |
