Description | William Alva Banks came west and became an employee of the Uintah Railway. He helped build the tracks through Baxter Pass to Dragon. He worked as a surveyor and then postmaster in Dragon until 1929. He was in partnership with his son, Harold, in raising sheep. He was treasuer of the Dragon School, Community Sunday School superintendent and a deputy sheriff. He was born September 23, 1877 and died August 25, 1975. He is buried in the Vernal Memorial Park. |
