Comment |
Anderson Tower was built in 1884 by Robert R. Anderson. It was constructed of gray granite as a tourist attraction. Anderson thought that tourists might pay to see the view from the tower. This venture was unsuccessful, but the tower stood for 48 years before it was razed in 1932. |
