Amtrak (National Railroad Passenger Corporation) train number six (No. 6, The California Zephyr) at the Salt Lake City Depot, January 1, 1989. Note the Southern Pacific diesel unit which was required because of the extra cars. Note also the tank truck by second unit. The diesels are refueled in Salt Lake City for their run to Chicago.
