My final project, Most of the Parts and Some of the Story, concerns the pervading influence of particular events from my personal life and the exploration to find a way to effectively convey both important elements of these events as well as the state of mind they induced. Without relying on highly structured or typical narrative devices and through the use of collage, an intuitive installation process, and representational elements presented in a non-linear context; I sought to promote a sense of chaos while also building a colloquial relationship with viewers through the use of cartoonish, representational imagery. |
